Anthroplogie's Spring 2020 Collection Has Us Drooling!

Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and was not too exhausted this morning if you were up late watching the Super Bowl. As I type this the birds are chirping, the sun is shining nice and bright so maybe that early Spring that groundhog Punxsutawney Phil(who didn't see his shadow) predicted will come to pass. This new Spring collection from Anthropologie may also expedite Spring's arrival; so fresh and happy! The 1700+ new pieces in this collection are all drool worthy and I had to exercise self control to not show you everything.  Pictured above that beautiful 6 drawer dresser is perfect against that wallpaper!

Baskets are a great way to dress up your plants and i love the pom pom feature on this Ramona basket.

Outdoor Living

After the harsh Winter we've had I can't wait to enjoy the great outdoors this Spring. I know some of you are still getting snow... Hopefully, these outdoor spaces will still make you as excited as I am for Spring.

Potting Bench Gets a Makeover In Time For Spring

     I know many of us are buried in snow and cannot wait for Spring to show up. In anticipation of Spring and to give my potting bench a new lease on life, I gave it a bit of tlc.

The outdoor elements had taken a toll on it over the years. 

This it what it looked like after it was first built. The hubby used left over wood from our shed that was recently built to make it and I didn't want to paint it. Instead I left the natural wood and sealed it, but it became very weathered in appearance(see above) over time.

And now for the fun part; I made sure to give it a light sanding with my favorite sander and then hosed it down to get rid of all the debris. 

After waiting for it to be thoroughly dry, I painted it using a quart of Glidden exterior paint called Jungle Vine. I gave it two coats using a foam roller for a smoother finish.

And voila. I love the results, now if Spring could just hurry up and get here! xx

Dreaming of Spring

I can't be the only one who is beyond ready for Spring. This Winter has been the coldest ever and the boys have been sick on and off the entire time. Yes, I dream of Spring, i am ready for Spring. Also give me all the cacti. xx

Pink and Green-Bring on Spring.

What an epic Superbowl game yesterday! While not the colours of the Superbowl's winning team, teh pink and green color combination is a favourite of mine. Garden Walls.

Is it too early to be posting about Garden related things? I hope not! I believe we have 53 days until Spring and I can't wait! I have always been fascinated with garden walls/wall gardens. They are a great solution if there isn't space for horizontal gardening. They add interest and depending on the foliage used, can be great for  providing privacy.

White and Bright: Spring is in the Air.

This approximately 584 square feet apartment is drenched in natural light, bathed in white but the mix of textures, accessories, and plants throughout make it far from boring.

I have that same orange pot; love it!

Yesterday, we got up to a high of 81. Unbelievable. Though we are back to cold temps today, I woke up to the birds chirping and can't help but feel optimistic about the approach of Spring. Have a lovely day everyone. xx
