Installing an outdoor shower has been on our to do list for awhile. The hubby especially is obsessed with the idea of installing an outdoor shower and have even carved out a spot in the backyard that he thinks is ideal. Can you imagine soaking up the sun's rays in that pink bath above. I guess that would be more of a bath experience instead of  a shower but just as delightful.  O.K., let's drool over the others, shall we?

Planting Season and a Look Back at Our Patio Makeover with Home Depot

  Over the weekend, I was busy pulling weeds from the garden as I excitedly planned what flowers I would be planting this year. Gardening is one of my favorite activities and I find it to be therapeutic too. When I look at our outdoor space as it is pictured above and remember what it was, I can't help but smile with pride regarding its transformation. I have to thank Home Depot again for their partnership that led to this amazing transformation.  You can read the article and see before pics HERE.  I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! xx

Weekend Vibes.

School is officially on Summer break and we will no doubt be spending lots of time on the patio; the boys playing in their sandbox while I sip on an adult beverage and jam to music.  Summer time is my absolute fave!

A Colorful Romantic Dinner at Home For Fathers Day.

I enjoy dining at home and usually opt for a quiet evening at home to celebrate special occasions.  As usual, I like using items I already have and creating this colorful romantic dinner was not difficult at all!

I decided to use this table that is on the porch because it's round and is the perfect size for an intimate dinner for two. I removed all the succulents and placed it in the shadiest part of our yard.

For the tablecloth, I chose to use two. I used a tie dye fabric to add the color pop and layered it with the lace for a romantic effect. Both were scored at a thrift store and the round table was the perfect size! Vintage candlesticks with colorful tapered candles, a copper bowl, and pink flamingo napkins and color and bling to the table top. 

A colorful striped blanket with lanterns hung with colorful citronella tea lights add comfort and color. 

One can never have enough outdoor lanterns. Similar ones available here.

Lit bare bulbs in trees add the perfect romantic ambience.

At dusk, light the candles for the perfect ambience

This is actually a thrifted chandelier that I hung from a branch. I removed the three tiny bulbs and cut tapered candles to fit the light slots. I love it! xx

Zion's Sandbox on Wheels Gets a Makeover.

I am surprised Zion's sandbox went unpainted for so long, you know since I PAINT EVERYTHING! I actually painted this about a month ago, but because of all the rain, I am just now getting a chance to show you.

Since I paint so much, I always have lots of left over paint around. For this project, I chose these two; Rust-oleum Lagoon and Valspar Luscious Green.

The Outdoor Beckons.

Although it's raining today, Spring is undeniable here. I know some of you still have snow-so sorry! I can't wait to get outside to soak up the sun and to start gardening!
