This Shaker Kitchen by deVOL Kitchens Is A Dream. Those green cabinets are beautiful!-designaddictmom
I am a huge fan of deVOL Kitchens and this kitchen is one of my favorite of their shaker designs. The talented designer is  Clarence & GravesI love the green cabinets, the countertops, the brass finishes, the organic details from the wood, the wall color, the plants, the view, I mean I love everything about this. I've had kitchens on the brain lately, so you'll probably see more chatter of kitchens on here, but until then, let's all drool over this beauty.

I Want a SMEG in my Kitchen.

I love this orange smeg

A SMEG(Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastall and made in Italy) has always been on my wishlist. I was reminded of how much i love them when i recently read somewhere they are popping up more and more in kitchens this year. Of course, I'd choose an orange one like the above in Elsa Billgren's home spotted on sfgirlbybay.

Holiday Kitchen Decor Inspired by Southern Living December Issue 2016.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Southern Living®. The opinions and text are all mine.

Black and white tablecloth is a great backdrop for this holiday table.
The holidays are here and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s my favorite time of year because it embodies a spirit of giving and love, spending time with family and loved ones, and gives me a reason to have twinkly lights everywhere!

Though I am not a seasonal decorator per se, for the holidays, I am always bursting at the seams with excitement to get all my holiday decor from the attic and to put up the Christmas trees.

Holiday Kitchen Decor Inspired by Southern Living December Issue 2016

I love finding inspiration to switch things up a bit and was recently perusing the Southern Living December Issue 2016.  It’s filled with a wide range of holiday inspiration for decking your halls. I was super inspired by the holiday decorating tips, but even more so, I realized, that I needed to step up my holiday decorating game in the kitchen.  The Southern Living December Issue – “Annual White Cake” is currently available on sale now through December 23rd and can be found at stores like Target and Barnes and Noble.

Holiday Kitchen Decor Inspired by Southern Living December Issue 2016

Well, actually, I can’t recall if I’ve ever decorated my kitchen for the holidays. It could be because of our open floor plan which allows me to see the holiday decorations in adjoining rooms from the kitchen. Nonetheless, after reading Southern Living December Issue, this year, I am inspired to add some kitchen holiday cheer. In addition, we literally live in our kitchen, and this is the area where friends and family tend to gravitate towards. I’ve rounded up 5 holiday kitchens that showcase some of the ideas that I am considering- all inspired by the holiday tips in this year’s December issue of Southern Living Magazine.

Kitchen Decorated for the Holidays. Love the collection of baskets!
Quick tip- If you have a collection of similar items, place them all together like the kitchen above to add visual impact.

White Kitchen with Simple Christmas Decor.

A modern kitchen with minimal holiday decor.
Holiday decor in the kitchen could be as simple as adding some fresh greenery and a paper star. It’s always great to keep the rest of your home’s aesthetic in mind when decorating for the holidays, so if your style is modern and simple, your holiday decor should be too.

A collection of wreaths is a simple and visually appealing way to add festive cheer and wow factor in the kitchen.

Aren't these kitchens lovely? My mood is immediately festive just by looking at them.  The Southern Living December issue is filled with lots more than kitchen holiday decorating ideas and is sure to inspire you, so be sure to pick up a copy if you haven't done so yet.

An Everything In Its Place Kitchen.

A Pristine Kitchen with Open Shelves and Lovely Marble Countertop
I've always admired those kitchens that seem to have it so together- everything in its place, no dishes in the sink, you can actually see the countertops, floors so clean you wouldn't need the 5 second rule if you dropped food on it...

Alas,  a clean kitchen always seem to be a fleeting goal in my home, and if i do get it clean, it stays that way for about five minutes! Ha! What does your kitchen look like right now? xx

10 Beautiful Walnut Kitchens.

walnut kitchen with marble countertops

The other day, I posted my kitchen on Instagram and feared I might have been the only one left online with a kitchen that has walnut cabinets. I was pleasantly surprised when others chimed in that they too have walnut kitchens and that they too LOVE their kitchens with their walnut cabinets. We're showing off our walnut side today...

6 Kitchen Trends on my Radar for 2016.

Love the pale green painted cabinets and modern details in this kitchen design
Simplicity:
Our kitchen is probably the most used space in our home. It is as they say the "heart of our home." Kitchen trends for 2016 are buzzing around online and while I tend to march to the beat of my own drum and not dwell so much on trends, I have to agree with the simplicity trend. With our open floor plan, having a streamlined and simple kitchen makes the flow much better and is easy on the eyes.

Pastel Pink Cabinets

Soft and pretty:
We are sure to see a dash of pink, especially since Pantone announced its color of the year.  I love pink so I think that's a fab idea!

Love the Brass Finishes!
More brass and sass:
Brass hardware, accessories, and lighting aren't going anywhere any time soon.

A Modern and Lovely Kitchen

Hi-tech appliances:
Bigger Islands:
As we entertain more or embrace a more casual and simple living having a bigger kitchen island makes sense and is more convenient. Hands free faucet have already made its way into many kitchens and we are sure to see more technological advances and hi tech appliances included in kitchen designs and remodels.

White and Bright
Open Shelving:
Last year I saw quite an interest from homeowners in this trend. This year lots of kitchens around the globe will be embracing the open shelving idea to showcase their beautiful wares.

Are you renovating or remodeling your kitchen this year? We made it to 2016 everyone!! I hope the year is off to a superb start for you all. xx
