Christmas 2021 Around Our Home

It's hard to believe that Christmas is just a couple days away! I barely got this post up as it's been such a hectic season. I won't be doing much narrating for this one as you already know it's going to be loaded with color and fun, PLUS, the pics speak for themselves. Speaking of pictures, there are many in this post- usually I try to break up the posts into two, but since I'm posting so late this year, you're getting everything all at once. So grab a cup of coffee or tea, and enjoy. This year,  I might've gone overboard with the Christmas trees; this is the first time I've had 4 Christmas trees up! So here we go, starting with the living room and the pink tree:

Living Room

Foyer

I used left over wallpaper to make a paper chain which is pictured on the antler in the foyer. The disco balls make several appearances throughout the tour as they bring me so much joy! Chair pictured is this one from Anthropologie.

Next Up is the Sunroom

I usually just wrap the plants in these twinkly lights as there is no space for a tree in here.

Playroom

The hubby is away so no chalk mural this year. I do think the love sign is still apt

no matter the season. The tree in here screams child friendly as it should. Cheyenne keeps rearranging the ornaments aka taking them off the tree:-) I love how everything looks in here since I updated the space earlier this year.

Cheyenne's Room

The dormer in Cheyenne's room got a cute silver tree. I didn't place ornaments on it as it really didn't need any, especially against that wallpaper. You should see the light show it puts as the colors change-so pretty!

The Boys' Room

I typically keep it simple and do the same thing every year in here.

Master Bedroom

I started placing a tree in our bedroom a few years ago and though it's a hassle since I have to move stuff around to accommodate the tree, it's so worth it to me! That glow in the room especially in the evening time makes me so happy! The balloons add whimsy and also distract Cheyenne from messing with the ornaments:-).

On the other side of the room where I recently added a gallery wall.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. Much love and joy to you and yours! xx

Tis The Season.

I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving(those of us who celebrated in the U.S.) We had family visit and it was such a treat! But now it's time for my favorite Holiday season-tis the season and the most wonderful time of the year! It's countdown to Christmas time! I am currently covered in tinsel and playing Michael Bublé Christmas songs on repeat. I bought a pink Christmas tree this year and can't wait to show you decked out for the Holidays. In the meantime, I'll leave you to drool on this floral Christmas tree masterpiece installation from Hello Floral. So stunning!

I hope you have the best day! xx

Christmas 2020 Mural and Merry Christmas!

As promised, here is a the Christmas 2020 of Dada's chalk mural. I've also included a video below to show a closeup of the details. I wish you all, peace, love, and lots of joy for the season. Merry, Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Christmas 2020 Around Our Home

Hi everyone! Here are some peeks of Christmas at our home. I didn't have any fancy photo shoot this year. These are just some pics that I snapped with my phone.

I have a gazillion bottle brush trees! They are sprinkled everywhere!

This prelit tree was such a joy to put up! Easy peasy and all my collected vintage ornaments look beautiful on it!

Cheyenne's pretty dress is from Cuteheads

This is the children's tree that I moved into the Master bedroom since they are always hanging out in here anyway.  All plush ornaments and diy garlands and some pom pom garlands adorn the tree. I added the colorful paper fan for an overload of whimsy and fun. Cheyenne's pretty dress is from Cuteheads

I usually hang colorful Christmas light above the map mural and love dressing them in matching pajamas. So cute!

All my thrifted candlesticks

I made this alternative tree using colorful post its a couple years ago and decided to make one again this year.

They are growing so fast!

Of course, Glory The Fig has to have some twinkly lights too!

That Ikea light was made for Christmas time! I love the shadows it cast on the ceiling. The hubby has been working on a chalk mural and I am excited to share, so stay tuned for that. xx

Our Christmas Tour 2019- Come On In!

As promised,  I am sharing a tour of most of our home decked out for Christmas.  Here's Cheyenne giving you a warm sparkly welcome. This year, I delved into my Christmas stash and tried to find new ways to reuse what I already had. The wreaths on the front door are a number of years old too and were purchased at AC Moore. For the Christmas tree in the living room(which btw is about 5 years old), i brought the gold ornaments to the front as I wanted the gold to be highlighted in the decor this year.  I placed a small tree in Cheyenne's nursery and i chose to highlight some of the colors from her fab wallpaper with the use of the ornaments. I already had all the ornaments that were used on the trees.  Ok, enough with the chatter, let's start the tour. There are quite a number of pics so brace yourselves! :-)

Our Mr. Printables Christmas advent village houses are our traditional diy advent calendar

Another wreath from my stash. I decided to add some pictures to it this year.

And now we're in the living room. This year, I braved it and placed breakable ornaments on the tree. Last year,  i did a baby friendly version because you know Ms. Cheyenne gets into everything! I placed the really delicate ornaments at the top and used some smash proof ones at the bottom and thankfully those are the ones she has reached for so far.

I can't get enough of these bottle brush trees

Glory the Fig is bringing the diva as usual in the sun room. Once upon a time. a Christmas tree could fit in here, but not anymore.

A simple white tree in the nursery

The Bedroom

Last year, I placed a Christmas tree in the bedroom and I really enjoyed having one in here.  So I did it again this year! :-)That glow in the evenings is so beautiful! Cheyenne spends a lot of time in here so I opted for the plush ornaments plus i love the whimsical element they add. I also added some of my pom pom trims and homemade garlands for color overload.

That pic above was snapped last Christmas

I hope you enjoyed the tour.  If you're on Instagram, i'll more than likely be showing additional peeks.
