Art Filled and Airy in Paris

It's hard to believe that this beautiful art filled, brimming with light Parisian apartment used to be an old workshop.  Dubbed Chez Amélie and designed by the architecture and interior design firm, Batiik Studio, this transformation is a delight for the eyes. The high ceilings make the perfect backdrop for the art and those insanely beautiful gallery wall displays. The neutral palette  sprinkled with different materials make this home far from boring.

An Art-Filled Apartment in Denmark

      Spotted on My Scandinavian Home, this home of blogger, Michelle Nielsen, in Denmark is a delight- so fresh!  am in love with this gallery wall and that grey blue color is the perfect backdrop for all that delicious art! The serene and feminine touches throughout this art filled apartment are quite lovely too.

A Gallery Wall Update

Gallery walls will never go out of style around here! I love them as they give me an opportunity to showcase the art pieces that make me happy.  I've always wanted to try a gallery wall of art going all the way down the wall and I finally did back in the Spring. 

Actually once I start obsessing over an idea, it is more than likely going to happen. In this case with Cheyenne being Ms. Busy Body, I was fully prepared for this to be a short term design realization.  However,  surprisingly she has decided to let Mama be great and leave the art be:-). You might remember a table being in this version of  the foyer, I relocated it, and placed some of my favorite art pieces on the wall. I love how it turned out! xx

The other day, I went thrifting and saw some decorative plates that were on sale. I was so tempted to get them, but didn't because I wasn't sure where I would place them or if I even had sufficient wall space. Instead, I am living vicariously through these spaces with the most beautiful plates on their walls...

Gallery Walls: Keeping Them in Place.

I’ve always admired gallery walls and I’m currently collecting frames to start my own. I love this one above showcasing some family pics and really just an eclectic mix of pieces that the homeowners love.  I imagine that one has to have a plan before executing a gallery wall, placement and probably most importantly, hardware to hang the pieces.

It makes sense to have a reliable gallery hanging system to ensure that your pictures or paintings stay in place. Can you imagine sleeping and having one of those hanging above the bed falling on you? Scary thought, no? So, I say just do it right even if it takes you a bit longer.

Which gallery hanging system do you use? Where in your home do you have your gallery wall(if you have one)? I’m thinking of placing mine in my foyer.
