The Art of Mixing Prints.

mix1st
If anyone is an expert on the subject of mixing print, it’s Solange Knowles.  She does it fearlessly and her looks are always fierce. Probably the most important rule to successfully mixing prints is to  pair colours that are either in the same colour family or ones that complement each other. Here are some great examples…

one more of Ms. Knowles! Is mixing prints your thing or not? Blessings and one love. XX

Fabulous!! I don't use this much pattern, but I do love it. Actually if I had the right client, I totally would!!

I do love a little pattern mixing. While I'm not as bold as Ms. Solange, I've been introducing it into the mix!

GORGEOUS MY DEAR, and you are really challenging my style in a great way. I never ever would have thought of mixing prints, EVER! But I think you brought out the wisest rule of all: use the same color family. Now that makes sense. I suppose it would be like working with my beloved grays and whites; different tones and textures. Same here! FIERCE and FABULOUS, INDEED! Hugs, Anita

I think you know how much I love me some Solange
definitely loving that floral wallpaper next to the hot pink chair
but gurl, that chevron wall with the chevron rug is a NO! I was do dizzy that I almost fell of my chair.

These are wonderful, Stacey.
