Baby Ian’s DIY Bookcase: Pantone Emerald Green Style…

DSC_0012
Purchased for $20 at the thrift store, this book case was a sweet deal… Last weekend (with the perfect weather and all), I  was busy working my diy magic on this beauty. I lightly sanded, primed and painted it in this Sherwin Williams Julep colour.  I think the colour echoes Pantone Emerald (colour of the year)… I also love how it pops against the colour of the wall in Baby Ian’s nursery.

It even looks beautiful in the before picture and it was in great shape. When I first saw it, I immediately fell in love with the dental details at the top too.

I still have plenty of space to fill in this bookcase and that’s not too difficult to do with a baby. They have plenty of “stuff!” What are your plans for the weekend? Any projects planned? Have a lovely one my friends and stay warm! XX

Really nice pop of accent color for Ian's room. Julep definitely hits the Pantone Emerald vibe! This color should work for Ian for at least a couple years so yay for only having to paint once when you select a great color :)

Love the color with the blue walls - your little one is so fashionable! Our weather is a tad bit colder so it's off to the slopes for us. Happy weekend!

Of course Baby Ian would have pantone's color of the year in his nursery - great transformation!!

Looks fabulous, Stacey! I have a couple of pine pieces I want to paint. But they are covered in wax....afraid the paint will not adhere. I'd love to see framed photos of Baby Ian in the bookcase.

I love this color! It is proving difficult to find paint here in Japan and even more difficult to convey gloss/eggshell/flat specifications. Somehow I keep ending up with gloss!

Adore the colours. The green is my favourite. Reminds me of west Indian grass;)

Nicely done! Great price and love the color. I am painting our entertainment center/shelves.. Light sanding, primer, paint..paint.. and more paint. Takes forever but will be worth it when I finish!

Enjoy your evening!
