The Space Below.

db7
Often times, when we decorate or accessorize, we tend to forget that space below. For e.g., in that picture above the blue stools below the console table balance the look. If they were absent, the look would appear “unfinished” or one would think that something is missing, but not quite sure what it is.

When we look at a space our eyes naturally go up and then down. It’s wonderful when there’s something in that space below for them to settle on…

Naomi of Design Manifest definitely know a thing or two about how important it is to dress the space below. I never tire of seeing this space.

Do you pay attention to that space below? How do you “dress” it up? Hopefully, today’s post gave you a few ideas…Have a lovely day everyone! XX

  2. Does all the artwork sitting on the floor around the house because I still don't know where I want it count? If so, then yes I do :)

  7. Hi Stacey!
Glad to see the bottle went well and for the space below....I never noticed that by not putting something under the table would make it feel empty, but you're right! thanks for the images, will keep my eye out for this when I move to a bigger place and have room for a sidetable.
    Take care,
    Maureen x

  14. Hi Stacey! Hope you are doing fine!
Today´s post is an eye- opener. I love sidetables like these, and agree I´ve never thought of decorating the space below- it totally gave me some ideas. Love natural baskets and think it would look good too. Thank you!

  17. I've seen a few of these before, but they're a great reminder of how choic styling under the space can be... simply with cute/gorgeous ottomans!
