A Peek at My Week.

IMG_0349
I barely found time to brush my hair this week.  Have you ever had a two year old and an almost 4 month old crying at the top of their lungs at the same time? #drivemommynuts! Anyway, despite my almost insane state of mind, it has been a wonderful week. This picture shows Baby Ian chilling in the sun room. That blanket is one of my faves. It’s an Espirit that I purchased at TJMaxx over 6 years ago. It still looks fantastic after multiple washes.

Can you believe he’ll be 4 months tomorrow?

Nom, nom, nom those thighs!

I’ve been trying to introduce the bottle to Baby Ian and he. is. not. cooperating. He will only take the boob. I go back to work in a couple weeks and I am trying not to panic. So far,  I have tried Dr. Brown wide neck and Playtex. Yesterday, I purchased the Avent and the Tommee Tippee, so we’ll see… Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! XX

  1. OMGOODNESS those thighs are CHUNKY MONKEY WONDERFUL! teeheee

Stacey, he is just DARLING! And it seems as if it was YESTERDAY that you had him!!!! I LOVE THAT POLKA DOT PILLOW DEAREST! Thank you for coming to see me tonight! Oh you must be working so hard to get back into the classroom! How on earth are you going to do it...to leave your little men!!?

But you will divide your energies; I ask my young colleague who has a two year old how she does it! I can barely get out the house with a husband to cart off to work east of the city and then take myself west of the city to get into my classroom by 6:30am!

But I wish you success and joy as you enter back into the outside work force dearest. Your home looks fantastic!! Anita

  2. Baby thighs! I die. I miss Emma being small and chunky so much it hurts.

And listening to two children cry at once trumps any bad day I've ever had. Kudos to you, mama. :]

Good luck with the boob/bottle debacle, and with your return to work. I'll be thinking of you!

  3. @ Hollie and Anita going back to work will be the most difficult thing i've ever had to do. Thank goodness it will only be for 3 months, but they will feel like the longest months ever...

  4. Oh, Stacey...it is hard for me to give advice...I am a better listener! But I do believe that they will not stare if you withhold the breast. I have often heard of putting a little breast milk on the nipple of the bottle to get them going. Heck...put it on the bib, too!!

Ian is a doll. He has the cutest little nose! And smile! How lucky you are!!

    XO,
    Jane

  5. what a cutie! love having a peek into your week. no tips for the bottle am 'fraid, hopefully the avent or tommee tippee do the trick. or else I've been told that at 4 months they can start learning to drink from a sippy cup? (haven't tried this myself though.)

  6. Oh! What a cutie you have!! Being a mom is quite hectic, isn't it? So glad you left me a comment so I could pop over for a visit! My babies were much too naughty to fight the bottle. I'm not sure if there is much you can do but be persistent and patient. Best of luck to you and your sweet family!

  10. Ian is so cute Stacy!!!! I could simply eat him up. I wish I could help with your little problem but not having any little ones of my own I'm at a loss. I love that you live with so much color!

    Happy Friday!

I could just give him such a snuggle, cute little thing.
