Our Master Bedroom Redo with Pier1.

our master bedroom redo with Pier1
I mentioned recently that I have a couple projects to share with you. Well, this is the first one. In December,  I re-styled the Master bedroom with the help of Pier1 Imports  for a feature and article that I wrote for the local paper. The article was about tips for refreshing your bedroom for the new year. You can read the article here. The feature was published yesterday, so now, I am able to show and tell you all about it!Smile. This was also especially exciting because I was able to  work with Lea(again) of Lea Hartman Photography. She captured the space and quite beautifully, for this feature.  I will list the items from Pier 1 at the end but let’s take a look at the rest of the space…

I moved the chair to the opposite side of the room to create this cozy seating area. If you followed the one room challenge, then you also shouldn’t be surprised to see the bird art. There was actually a pair, but I had to separate them because they didn’t face each other when placed together. That is not good feng shui and the original design of the space was based on feng shui.

Nelson Bench above is my own and was relocated from another room.

The changes were minor, but made such a difference in the feel of the space. A big shout out to Linda of Calling it Home who created the One Room Challenge.   My space as it is now would probably not have happened if I hadn’t participated in the challenge. Ok, with that said, here are the items from Pier 1:

Brass twin bell alarm clock on nightstand: Pier1.com
Ivory Chenille Checkered Throw: Pier1.com
Ormand ottoman in pheasant brown: Pier1.com
Embroidered bird art prints: Pier1.com

Adore the colours and the classic wall paper offset by fun pieces and clean lines in contrast!

Stacey, what you have done here is what I've always loved: transformation.

So perfectly captured is the light and contrasting pop of color that invigorates me, thanks to your vision.BRAVO my friend, and I am so happy that you have been given the chance to write for the local paper. This is only the beginning! Anita

Awww, I'm even more in love with this room lady. LOVE the leather ottoman paired with that blue chair (can u loan me them both for a few years?) and those framed embroidered birds add such a soft and whimsical touch. And yes, I think Pier 1 has some of the best scented candles out there. Now if only they'd bring back that peach scented candle they used to have, all would be well with the world.
