I do love the trend of incorporating drama and elegance in a space via black. I think one of the first tenants of decorating I learned was that every room needs a touch of black to ground it, That said, I haven't had any success adding black around my house, it just ends up looking heavy and drab, I can't figure out what the issue is in my house but I continue to try! Door do seem like a safer place to start and with the great colors in your house Stacy I bet black will be a wonderful accent.
I am new to your blog and I have to say -- I love it. You dig up the BEST, most interesting, unique inspiration images. I know that can't be simple to do so thanks for working so hard to provide some amazing daily eye candy for the rest of us!

You grabbed my attention with that first photo of the BLUE VELVET COUCH...then the rest is sublime and fabulous !!!!! I love black in my décor; my black and white floors are my favorite, and black painted wooden frames with a touch of gold are classic. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND STACEY! Anita
I love black in interiors. It really grounds a space and adds drama. I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate it more in my home. Mostly through accessories and art.

Black is most of my wardrobe. I have been adding more and more of it to my home. I still don't think I do the walls that dark.
The darkest I've ever gone with pain is dark gray, but I'm always so tempted to try black. I think it calls for a bigger room than what I have right now, but someday. Oh, and that black wood paneling is going straight on Pinterest!

This post just caught my eye. After 4 years of having a pale gray and white house, almost all white furniture, I am going into lots of black. Yesterday I just painted my Nelson bench flat black, I love the trend! Can't wait to see how you incorporate it into your home :)
