Julianne Moore’s Stylish Apartment in NY

JulianM
Julianne Moore’s apartment in the West Village area oozes style and an almost meticulous attention to details. I especially love the unique pieces in each space. I love to peek into other people’s spaces and when they’re celebrities, I’m even more curious to see how they live.  Julianne is an accomplished and talented actress and her talent also seems to extend to designing spaces. Her apartment is tre's stylish! Well, maybe MADE LLC, the studio/firm that designed her apartment should receive some credit tooSmile. Check out the rest of the space…

I would love one of those floating bookshelves/storage contraptions on a wall in my home. I love how it’s visually appealing while not taking up much space.

Look at that bath…

Awww, different textures and materials living harmoniously in this wonderful kitchen. Love it!

I love that although the apartment is stylish, it doesn’t scream “over the top”. In addition each space has an abundance of natural light which I think is a must have in any space. The wood floor throughout is very lovely too. Well, it’s Thursday everyone, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have the weekend draw closer. Have a lovely day my friends! XX

Factory to loft.

Hi everyone! I hope your weekend was filled with lots of fun and delight. I was actually able to spend more time outside this weekend because it was not as hot as it has been the past few weeks. Welcome to Monday and to the tour of another spectacular space.
I enjoy seeing the metamorphosis of a building that has been repurposed. This factory, located in Los Angeles, was transformed into several lofts and artist workshops. I fell in love with one of the lofts  where a mom lives with her two daughters. It’s unpretentious,  filled with lots of natural light, has  tons of character, features a number of great flea market finds, and the cutest dog ever!

I’m loving that chair and of course who doesn’t love the Akari floor lamp?

I want one of these. It looks like so much fun!

I have always loved the idea of living in a loft. How about you?  Happy Monday my friends.

Inspired by boat.

The building of this getaway home in Sweden was inspired by a boathouse. It’s quite efficient in its use of space to maximize storage and facilitate a convenient layout like the loft space below. The homeowners also wanted the house to be one with its environment and they accomplished this by using materials that are indigenous to the area. Did i also mention that the house is right on the sea?

I love how the home is simple in its decor and doesn’t compete with the awesome vistas around it. I’m also loving that hammock.

One look at this house referred to as the Magnolia House, and you would immediately assume that it is in the South, right? Why wouldn’t you? It conjures up this South with its five Corinthian columns, iron balcony, and its bow windows. However, it hails from Palm Beach! According to the home owners, "the Maganolia House is attired to be the perfect hostess (well it’s quite obvious, look a the beautiful collection of furniture and accessories)Whether for a quiet get-together or a lavish affair of more than 100, she evokes encorselled entertainment with decided grace. The outdoors and indoors blend as the guests mix and mingle under the covered verandah and candles float in the pool". Wouldn’t you just love to be a guest at Magnolia House?
