Factory to loft.

Hi everyone! I hope your weekend was filled with lots of fun and delight. I was actually able to spend more time outside this weekend because it was not as hot as it has been the past few weeks. Welcome to Monday and to the tour of another spectacular space.
I enjoy seeing the metamorphosis of a building that has been repurposed. This factory, located in Los Angeles, was transformed into several lofts and artist workshops. I fell in love with one of the lofts  where a mom lives with her two daughters. It’s unpretentious,  filled with lots of natural light, has  tons of character, features a number of great flea market finds, and the cutest dog ever!

I’m loving that chair and of course who doesn’t love the Akari floor lamp?

I want one of these. It looks like so much fun!

I have always loved the idea of living in a loft. How about you?  Happy Monday my friends.

These images had me making up little witty captions, like "unhappy hipsters" - I do love loft living or cabin living.

gorgeous set of pictures! I miss our loft in the South End so much. We moved two years ago into our current townhouse for extra space. But loft living is so nice b/c you don't end up buying too much junk and you I am such a fan of the whole minimalist look and clean lines.

i love love love love LOVE that looong dining table! i am hoping to talk the hubbers into building me something along these lines to take up one whole wall in my craft room. fingers crossed! :D

i love the idea of living in a loft, but i'm afraid i'm much too much of a clutter-freak to ever pull it off. lots of little bitty things would get lost in such a big space. but who knows? maybe one day this tiger'll chase its stripes. :P
