Poteet Architects.

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? I had a lovely one with baby Z, and spent most of the time with him enjoying the lovely weather that we had this weekend. My initial plan for today’s post was to write about Lonny’s October/November issue(this month  is one of my favourite issues btw). However, i know that you’re probably going to be inundated with details about this from other interior blogs, therefore, i bring you a feature from Poteet Architects instead. I initially saw a feature about their work here first. I subsequently bolted to their site to check out the rest of their portfolio and it was definitely worth the bolt and the trip:-).

Today’s feature is a loft that is referred to as the Capps loft. I love how the architectural details are bathed in white which allows the art, classics like the bench above, etc., to pop.

You definitely cannot be afraid of heights when you live in a loft:-). I love the view from here.

That’s one hot stair well! Don’t you just love the colour too?  So unexpected.

I’ll be making the rounds to read all of your lovely content in a bit. I’m on mommy duty right now:-). Welcome to Monday my friends. XX

Ooh - those yellow stairs and the blue bench make me weak in the knees! I live in a loft, so I love seeing what others have done with similar space.

Oh my gosh, this is one of the most beautiful lofts I've ever seen! Something about it just grabs me :) Love the colourful stairs, the grand piano, soaring heights, and simple-but-beautiful furnishings. Thanks for all this beauty today :) Glad you had a lovely weekend with Baby Z & hope your Monday's fab!

I'm not much into modern spaces but loving this one, love how open and fresh it looks. I like how the white really makes the important pieces of artwork pop! Love your new profile picture, what an attractive lady you are!

Those stairs and what an unexpected burst of colour, too. This is pop art architecture at its finest. I like your new tiny 'About ME' photo;-)

I am now longing for an even more minimal space than I have now. Must PURGE. Love the added touch of the green martinis in the first one and yes, I agree, the stairwell rocks. Your new profile pic is very pretty.

The stairwell is wonderful! The whole loft appeals to my anal-retentive-I-like-clean side, but I think it would be like living in a gallery. I'd be scared to sneeze or spill! LOL! I did enjoy how the white backdrop allowed all the other splashes of color to pop. :)

That yellow spiral staircase is making me drool! I don't even have a second floow in my little jungalow, but I'd make room for the staris just to hold plants! Love them!

Hi there. Thanks so much for the warm wishes over at my blog. :) I am SO glad you decided to do a post about this Loft instead of the new issue...definitely feeling a little inundated with details ;) I fall in love with white spaces a little more each day and this interior really solidifies my desire for the look! I love all the white but find it too hard with the kids.

Thanks for sending me good thoughts and well wishes for Bella. She is recovering nicely and will have her stitches out on Thursday. Our trip to PR just might be saved. Whew

I am scared of heights, but I could muster up the courage to humbly reside in such a place!! Ha :)

It reminds me of pre-kids and how clean and simple life was. Still can be, but I'm always knee deep in the clutter of their lives that make our 3rd and current home a haven.

Great feature Stacey!

This is such a great post. I am a fan of all white or predominantly white interiors, but they run the risk of appearing stark and cold. This home has successfully incorporated so many wonderful elements making it a warm space that would be easy to live in.

As an aside, I wonder who their cleaning service is...and if they're cheap. ahem, inexpensive :)

xoxo,
Carrie
