Sandbox Project for Baby Z.

Now that i'm on summer break, there are so many projects that i  have been thinking about tackling. Of course, there are also others that i've had to place on hold because I just didn't have the time to get them done. Building a sandbox for Baby Z is one of those projects.

On my hunt for inspiration, i came across these from Outdoorliving:

I'm on my way to Home Depot to get some sand and also mulch for other gardening needs. Have any of you built a sandbox before? Do tell! The high today will be 84 degrees, so i'm going to try to get lots done outdoors today. Tomorrow, it will be back to the sweltering high 90's.

  Stay cool y'all:-) XX

  6. Wow - you are ambitious. My kids always loved the sandbox!! I love the idea of it being moveable as with the first - but that's got to be really heavy with all the sand - you'd need super industrial wheels!!

  7. We always had the generic plastic sandboxes but my neighbors husband built one similar to the pictures. Still, I have no idea how to make one. Good luck and stay cool!

  8. Great project idea- if you have cats in the area though make sure that you cover it or it will become a huge cat litter box.

  14. Baby Z is a lucky little guy to have such a talented and "able" mommy!! I would love to be 2 again and have a great big sandbox to play in, biggest worry in their little world is which toys to bring into the sandbox and when their next meal is coming!! Oh to be a kid again......love the sandboxes, thats one thing that will never ever go out of style:)Stop by, last day to be eligible for my Kilim bench!

I have never built one before, but it does not look like it would be too difficult (???) :-)

I am DONE WITH THAT and I am heading down to HD THIS MORNING TO find something to anchor a plaster relief to the wall....Oh dearest, you are gonna have some fun, and BABY Z is going to love your GIFT TO HIM! The sand box on wheels is very clever. Makes it easy to move out of the way or into a place safe for winter.
