Creating A Healthier Home with Lifecore Floors

Creating A Healthier Home with Lifecore Floors- design addict mom

Imagine having environmentally friendly hardwood floors in your home that is low VOC? Lifecore Floors was one of my amazing sponsors for this recent One Room Challenge and I remember how excited I was to learn that the Lifecore floors- Anew Gentling that I chose for my One Room Challenge closet makeover was a green product and additionally such a beauty!  Volatile organic compounds(VOC) are emitted into your home and can have an adverse effect on your indoor air quality, your family health and be an irritant to those with allergies and asthma. Lifecore Floors are third party tested, and exceed the strictest chemical emission limits for VOC.

Having a toddler who loves to play on the floor, I find it comforting that when she is in the closet(which is quite often), she is being exposed to a healthy environment. LIFECORE’s innovative, ZERO-ADD® technology allows the production of flooring that has among the lowest levels of formaldehyde on the market, without affecting the performance or durability of the product.

Organizational Spree Inspired by Marie Kondo Tidying Up

Organizational Spree Inspired by Marie Kondo Tidying Up- design addict mom
First, a bit late but Happy New Year everyone! The boys are officially back to school today and while I enjoyed the break and being able to spend time with them, I am thrilled to have our usual routine back. This means while they are in school, I can have(well if Cheyenne cooperates) more time to organize! I know I am not the only being inspired by Marie Kondo's Tidying Up series on Netflix.

I am always thrilled to purge at the start of the year, but watching the series is even more of a motivator to get it done.

Whilst my kitchen isn't in as bad a shape as I've seen in the series, it is probably our messiest space as it is the most used. My problem with this area is I will get it all tidy and organized but it doesn't last. I intend to find a system that works to cut down on the clutter once and for all. I want to make Marie proud!

I have been tackling the clothes organization and initially struggled with the caress/thank you part of the process. I just wanted to toss the clothes I didn't want into the donate pile and get it over with. However, I am sticking to the process. Are you also on an organizational spree? I'll keep you posted on my progress. xx
