Simple home + Veteran’s Day.

Yesterday, we got a wonderful dose of colour from our friend, Miles Redd. Today, we’re going take it down a notch with this beautiful mostly white space.

The sprinkling of the brown tones from the floor and furniture is a lovely contrast, definitely not jarring.

Isn’t the design of the dining table unique? Black in the middle and white on the ends. It’s probably extendable too.

Loft bedroom-love it!

Lovely vignette with a quiet and peaceful edge

An industrial and functional kitchen

Aren’t the living spaces gorgeous, especially the one with the wall of books? So cozy…

I adore this collage on the walls behind the sofa. I love the efficient use of space too.

A nice and simple bedroom that only lends itself to some great pillow time. That rocking chair seems to just be waiting on me to sit in it…
Today is Veteran’s day and I just wanted us all to  acknowledge it by remembering our veterans; those who have served/still serve and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. I’m grateful to have my vet home and my thoughts and prayers are with those(and their families) who are still away serving their country. Happy Thursday everyone! XX

  5. Of course another one right up my alley. I love the artwork, that cabinet with all the drawers, the white, the wall of books, ah it's fabulous - don't know about the table, not so sold on that. Oh, the industrial bits in the kitchen as well. Yes, I could live here in a heartbeat.

  9. Naturally, because of my fear of color, I love these. Black + light colored wood go SO well together.

Happy Veterans Day to your mister.

  10. Happy Veterans Day to the husband and yes, love and prayers to ALL military families!!!

I am in love with the wall of books, how amazing would that be and the wall of photos with the little desks in front are great too! I love out of the box homes (I live in a cookie cutter development).

  12. Please thank your hubby for us! What I wouldn't give to be in a light bright space like this (longing sigh). The wall of books and that efficient use of workspace would make for a dream office :) Happy Vet/Thursday to you, dear Stacey!

  19. What an amazing home!
Love the airy and dare I say 'eclectic' feeling!?:)(Feels like that is all I´m talking about right now.) Oh, and the living room area, so freaking gorgeus! The work stations 'hidden' behind the sofa area is such a great idea. I would love to have that posibility in my own living room. Nice to be around eachother even if one is working and the other half(the rest of the family) is laying in the sofa watching TV.
Finally my thoughts goes to all amazing Veterans out there. To serve your country and to actually risk your own life... Well, that must be the ultimate sacrifice. I truly admire´em all!!!
    All my love!

  24. What interesting pictures today. They give me a mix of emotions. I'm generally not big on mostly-white places, but those touches of natural wood really warm the space up. The kitchen looks a little too utilitarian for me but the rest of the home is pretty cool. What an interesting place that evokes so many different moods and feelings!

Happy Veteran's day to your family. I'm glad your vet is home. :)

Great find Stacey.. as usual!! xx

  53. HI Stacey,

Yes, Redd did white so right so right! I just did a white post, so this was lovely to visit since that's where my brain is at today :)

I am totally with you, through and through with honoring Veterans. I wish all could remember the luxuries and freedoms we have are because someone else sacrificed theirs.

    Love,

    Kelly
