A Cozy Cabin + Thank You.
I took a bit of an intermission from loving on dearest hubby. I think his face is hurting from all those kisses
Since dearest hubby has been home, it’s been all about coziness in our home. I find every reason to “cozy up.” Maybe that’s why I’m smitten with this cabin that I spotted on skona hem. It oozes coziness. It’s dubbed the “winter cabin” and is located in the ski resort of Kvitfjell in southwestern Norway.
I love that dark rich colour that highlights the wall in this sun filled kitchen and how it allows the white painted floor to take center stage. The raw element in the wood table grounds the room beautifully too and of course the natural light enhances the beauty of this kitchen.
The planks on the cupboards are from an old barn. I love the organic elements and the mix and use of a variety of materials.
The couple uses grey/gray throughout their “winter cabin” and I love how it increases that cozy factor/appeal. I also love how they tend to layer their chairs…
A favourite cozying up spot, im sure! It has all the winning ingredients
A cozy bedroom for the Mr. and Mrs. XX

What a lovely space! Oh I could spend a month there in December.
I love the rustic feel and neutral colors!
I'm glad you showed him! I hope he can get a little idea of how much what he does is appreciated!
So nice to hear you showed him our comments. Bloggers are a nice lot of people, really. I love this house because it shows you can do so much without spending too much. It has a personal touch to it.
Shaggy, furry, comfy, cozy...those are the 4 design elements right??!! Ha :) Glad you are warm with love and peace dear. XO
Really loving these shots .... keep up those kisses !!!
oooh...you've got cozy down to a tee...i'm ready to curl up and do some daydreaming...love the bathrooms, the planks, the throws. you've convinced me to let summer slip away and look forward to the "white stuff" that is soon to come...a huge feat!
I love it that you are so happy and that you guys are having a lovely time together. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to be a 'family' again since so long! How is baby Z taking it that his mamma is being 'shared' with daddy now?
I saw this cabin in Skona Hem too and love it. I have a thing for mountain cabins, and actually used to live not far from this one in Lillehammer Norway. Kvitfjell is only a short drive from there and a really close friend of mine has a log cabin high up on the mountain. It's divine!!
Anyway. I am sure that you have more fun and important things to do than to read comments so I'll sign off here.
Big hugs from Sydney!!
xx Charlotta
Saw this cabin in a Norwegian interior blog today and it is AMAZING! Love the combination of the industrial, the traditional Norwegian and the modern elements and also the color palette!
Also very glad to hear you are having a great time with your hubby :)
Just popped in quickly to take another peek :) and to say - thanks to my computer doctor - I can *finally* follow you properly, darling - yippee!! (At loooong last!)
Hope you're having a wonderful time with your husband and Baby Z!! :)
Yes, I totally agree. This is coziness on a high level. Great inspiration!
Hugs to you!
I don't think there is a better way to incorporate fantastic depth to a room than by adding rustic wood features like some of the ones above. Even in the most modern spaces.
I just stumbled across your blog for the first time and thought I would say hello! I looked through a few of your posts and love your style.
I'm a blogger as well, about the world of art, but my history is in interior design and fashion. I love to hear what people are saying! Hope we get to see more of each other in the future.
