A Pom Poms Diy with Terra-cotta Pots.

A Pom Poms Diy with Terra-cotta Pots-design addict mom
It's amazing the effect the sun can have on ones creativity. It's been raining for days and I was feeling so unmotivated, that is,  until the sun came out yesterday!  I am not kidding when I say I felt this surge of renewed energy- i spotted this left over colorful pom poms trim(I used to decorate the Christmas tree) and thought, why not decorate some of my terra-cotta pots with it?

It was very simple to do.

Items Needed:
Pom pom trim(in color(s) of your choice)
Terra-cotta pots
Glue gun

How To:
Cut the desired length of the trim per the size of the terra-cotta pot you'll be using.
Use your glue gun to place a bit of glue in the areas where you'll would be lining the trim on the terra-cotta pot.
Press trim in place and stretching slightly so it's taut.
Let it dry and voila!

Trending: Adding Texture with Fur.

Beautiful and cozy l living room styled by Marianne Luning
Texture can be categorized as either tactile or visual. Tactile texture relates to the actual feeling of a surface – smooth, rough, soft, hard, etc.  and visual texture is our perception of what a texture might feel like. Texture is a great way to add depth and interest to an interior. Today's post highlights some great examples of adding texture when decorating by using faux throws-so furry and cozy...

Staircases and Martin Luther King Day.

pink architecture-in love! La Muralla Roja
Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today we observe Martin Luther King's birthday and that is one of my favorite quotes of his as my own life experiences are a testimony to its truth. I also couldn't resist showcasing some amazing staircases as an ode to that quote... Above is the well known 'La Muralla Roja' built by the amazing Ricardo Bofill

I Could've Predicted Pantone's Color of the Year; Greenery.

Loving that green wall! Tori Tori Restaurant/ Rojkind Arquitectos + ESRAWE Studio. Photo by Paúl Rivera.

If you look around my home, you'll immediately notice different variations of one color-GREEN. It's sprinkled in some way in each room of our home, so when Pantone announced greenery as their color for 2017, i was like-i could've predicted that! I mean orange is my favorite color, but of late, i feel like i have been cheating on orange with green... Wait, i know you're wondering about this green wall above. How fab is that? Spotted on Archdaily, it's actually in a restaurant called Tori Tori Restaurant and was designed by Rojkind Arquitectos + ESRAWE Studio. Photo is by Paúl Rivera. I love how the green pops against the reclaim type wood. Now let's look at moments of greenery in my own home...

Design addict mom's colorful and plant filled bedroom featuring Justina Blakeney's Nana wallpaper.
last year, the bedroom's wall got drenched in green-egyptian green by benjamin moore.

it goes perfectly with Justina Blakeney's nana wallpaper available at hygge and west.

Colorful kid's room with repurposed thrifted furniture pieces.
do you remember this bookcase diy? it's still green even now

Kid's colorful bedroom with huge map wall.
more green in Zion's room. even the headphone is green! Map mural is available here

Soaking up the sun and nature. #porchlife
it doesn't get more green than nature and if you follow me on instagram, you've likely been bombarded with all my plants posts. How are you using Pantone's color of the year in your home(if you are)? xx
