The Guest Room.

A constant flow of guests is the norm in the Blake household.  We’ve had guests  for two weeks in a row and I have to admit that the guest room wasn’t picture perfect prior to their visits(of course, my guests couldn’t careless about that). However, if you’re like me, everything has to be just right. Needless to say, I was scurrying until the last minute to put the final touches together to my guest room.  It wasn’t like staying at the Ritz, but it was comfortable and aesthetically pleasing enough to me. Here are some lovely inspiration for guest rooms from some of my favourite places…

Have you had any house guests lately? Need some tips: The great Martha Stewart offers some invaluable tips on how to prep for houseguests here.  Happy Wednesday my friends. XX

  4. These spaces are amazing! I don't even have a guest room in my rental. But we do have a futon! Ha ha. We used to have friends over sometimes, and I would still make it as decadent and special as I could! :) Fancy folded towels and linens, mint on their pillows, etc.

  9. I would be a very happy guest in any of these rooms! Our guest room? Well, since we live in a one-bedroom condo, it's the couch or an air matress :)

  11. I love room #4 and the last one. Totally different I know but still love them both. I just turned my guest room into a photo studio for my shops, bed is out and everything. Guess that means no more guests for me :)

  15. Good morning, GORGEOUS! O.K., you have me thinking now...I have a guest coming for a WRITER'S RETREAT at my home, and I need to get the GUEST ROOM (my husband's office) looking just right. I LOVE the room with the portraits of the African Queens above that FABULOUS ORANGE HEADBOARD...then the contrasting photo of the little white west highland terrier taking over that puffy bed...oh the possibilities! Having fun this summer dearest?

    YOU INSPIRE!!! Anita
